Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By registering, accessing, or using the Asstrix application ("Service"), operated by Folded Logic ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions of this agreement, you may not access the Service. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity ("you"), and Folded Logic.

2. Platform Architecture and Reliance

You acknowledge that the Service is built utilizing third-party infrastructure and sub-processors. Specifically, the Service relies on Vercel for application hosting and edge computing, and Supabase for database management, authentication, and secure cloud storage. GitHub is utilized for proprietary code versioning.

While we strive for 99.9% uptime, we are not liable for temporary service interruptions, latency, or outages caused by downstream infrastructure failures at Vercel, Supabase, or other integrated API providers.

3. User Responsibilities and Acceptable Use

You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You agree not to:

• Upload malicious code, malware, or exploit the platform's storage vaults.
• Store illegal, highly sensitive (e.g., PHI/HIPAA data), or strictly regulated materials in the asset photo or document vaults.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or bypass the authentication systems provided by Supabase.
• Share administrative credentials with unauthorized external parties.

4. Intellectual Property Rights

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality (including but not limited to the UI/UX design, custom frontend components, Next.js architecture, and proprietary logic) are and will remain the exclusive property of Folded Logic. Our trademarks, branding, and code repositories (hosted on GitHub) may not be used in connection with any product or service without our prior written consent.

Your Data: You retain complete ownership of all asset data, location names, financial values, and files you upload to the Service. You grant us a limited, secure license to host, parse, and render this data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

5. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. You may terminate your account at any time by utilizing the data deletion protocols outlined in our Privacy Policy.

6. Limitation of Liability and "As-Is" Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. Folded Logic expressly disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

In no event shall Folded Logic, its founders, or its suppliers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data loss, business interruption, or loss of goodwill, arising out of your access to, use of, or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia, and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding related to this Service shall be instituted exclusively in the courts located in British Columbia, Canada.
